01

Prefabricated electrical buildings / E-houses / RIEs

A Creatum E-house or RIE is a coordinated grouping of distribution, conversion, control, and supervisory equipment in an all-weather, factory-integrated enclosure, delivered ready to set on prepared foundations.

The building is designed, fabricated, and integrated to customer specifications. Structural steel, interlocking wall and roof panels, HVAC, fire and alarm and suppression, lighting, grounding pads, and customer-furnished or Creatum-procured equipment are assembled and factory-acceptance tested before shipment. Traveler control stays with the building in the factory.

Equipment that may be housed includes MV and LV switchgear, VFDs, MCCs, dry-type transformers, PLC/DCS cabinets, UPS and batteries, panelboards, telecom and server cabinets, and fire and alarm and suppression panels.

  • MV / LV switchgear and GIS
  • MCCs, VFDs, and motor controllers
  • Dry-type transformers
  • UPS, batteries, and chargers
  • PLC, DCS, and fire and alarm cabinets
  • HVAC (Bard or equivalent), N+1 when specified
  • Fire detection; clean-agent when specified
  • Factory acceptance testing

02

Integrated power skids

A Creatum integrated power skid is a factory-built welded steel assembly on which conversion equipment is received, set, interconnected, cooled, protected, lighted, and functionally tested before shipment.

Standard factory scope covers skid structural design and fabrication (ASTM A36 / A572 Gr. 50), receiving inspection, equipment setting and anchoring, power and control interconnection, cooling, fire detection, lighting, grounding pads, point-to-point checkout, and FAT. Conversion platforms include solid-state devices and solid-state transformer / power-conversion units.

Multi-skid programs run as a repeating factory unit: one typical engineered, first-article inspected, then series production. Customer specifications and the project single-line, cable schedule, and OEM data sheets govern interconnection.

  • SSD and SST / conversion unit mount and interconnect
  • MV and transformer skids
  • PCS skids for BESS
  • RMU skids
  • OEM motor and compressor skids
  • MCC and control-panel assemblies
  • Wall-mount HVAC and fire detection
  • Point-to-point checkout and FAT

Electrical construction

The same organization that fabricates the building performs the field electrical around it.

Field work covers LV, MV, and HV through 345 kV: equipment setting, cable pull, splice and terminate, grounding grids, fiber, and NETA standard testing. Electrical safety credentials cover work below 1 kV, through 34.5 kV, and through 345 kV.

Field procedures cover megger, VLF, MV splicing, fiber, trenching, grounding rings, and substation cable. Platforms we regularly integrate include Eaton, Schneider Electric, Siemens Energy, GE, Hitachi, Powell, Sungrow, and equivalent conversion equipment.

  • HV GIS / AIS through 345 kV
  • MV switchgear, typically 34.5 kV class
  • Transformers and electrical rooms
  • Cable installation, splices, terminations
  • Grounding systems (IEEE 80 / 142)
  • Fiber optic (OCC / Corning) and OTDR
  • VLF, PD, megger, torque, relay

Testing & commissioning

The job is not complete until the system is ready to run

QA/QC is continuous: documented procedures from shop integration through field installation, testing, and energization support.

Cable and insulation

  • VLF testing
  • Partial discharge
  • Megger / insulation resistance
  • Continuity and OTDR

Equipment and terminations

  • Calibrated torque verification
  • MV splice records
  • Equipment receiving inspection
  • Point-to-point and labeling

FAT / SAT / energization

  • Factory acceptance testing
  • NETA standard testing
  • Relay and functional checks
  • Turnover package
